Fat Joe has reignited his long-standing tension with Young Buck after claiming he once physically confronted the former G-Unit rapper during the height of the 50 Cent–G-Unit beef. Buck has since responded with a diss track, denying Joe’s version of events and accusing him of twisting the story.

An old hip-hop feud has resurfaced after Fat Joe claimed he once beat up Young Buck during the peak of the rivalry between Terror Squad and G-Unit in the mid-2000s. On a recent episode of the Joe and Jada podcast, which he co-hosts with Jadakiss, Fat Joe shared a previously untold story while joined by guests Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda. According to Joey Crack, the incident took place during a Winter Jam concert in Chicago and involved a heated confrontation behind the scenes. Joe claimed he encountered Young Buck while tensions were still high between himself and 50 Cent’s camp. He alleged that Buck disrespected him from a higher level inside the venue, prompting an aggressive response. “I caught Young Buck during that time. He got two-piece legended,” Joe said, shocking everyone present — including Tony Yayo. “He tried to test me.” Joe recalled coming off stage in a darkened venue when he heard someone yelling at him from above. He claimed he looked up to see Buck and responded by throwing a water bottle and daring him to come downstairs. According to Joe, the situation escalated quickly, with both sides surrounded by their respective entourages. He went on to say that police intervened, forming a barricade on the staircase to prevent the confrontation from turning violent. Joe claimed Buck hesitated before eventually coming down, attempting to downplay the situation — something Joe interpreted as backtracking after initially provoking him. Fat Joe then alleged that when Buck briefly leaned past the police barrier, he and members of his crew managed to land several punches. He even joked that “the barber hit him,” before claiming Buck immediately began trying to smooth things over. However, Young Buck strongly disputes that version of events. The former G-Unit rapper responded by releasing a diss track titled “CAPpuccino,” aimed directly at Fat Joe. Over a beat sampling Kanye West’s “Drive Slow,” Buck accused Joe of exaggerating and misrepresenting what actually happened. “You told the story but you just had to go and twist it,” Buck raps, addressing Joe’s claims. He insists that no physical altercation took place, stating that no punches were landed despite tensions running high. Buck also took shots at Joe’s recent weight loss, mocking his use of Ozempic and warning him to speak carefully when mentioning his name. “No hands was put on nobody,” Buck raps. “Speak facts when you say my name — I don’t play them type of games.” With both artists standing firmly by their versions of the story, the resurfaced feud has reignited debate among hip-hop fans, proving that even decades-old conflicts can still spark new drama in the culture.
